US History= US Map Quest (bigger than a quiz, but not quite as big as a test) is Friday, 9/14 for periods 1, 3, & 5 and Monday, 9/17 for period 6. The Chapter 1 Homework Packet is due on Monday, 9/24 (periods 1, 3, & 5)and Tuesday, 9/25 (period 6)

Pacific Rim/International Relations= Your Central America Map is due on Monday, 9/17 and the quiz on that same map is Friday, 9/21

This week's Schedule: Monday– Late Start B  day Tuesday – A day Wednesday– B day Thursday– A day Friday–  B day U.S. History=   You will be receiving instruction in class this week about researching for your paper & finding 5 appropriate articles to use in writing your paper. You will have 1 week to collect your 5 articles, after the time that is given  in class to get started. Your 5 articles are due 11/13 & 11/14. Beyond that you will have one additional week to complete the annotated bibliography. The procedures for doing both will be explained in class. Here is a link to an info sheet about the online databases available via the Newport Beach Public Library. We will be moving forward with topics related to the next Chapter including the Progressives, Child Labor, Expanding Rights for Women & Minority Groups, & Reformers in the White House. This week's Schedule: Monday– Labor Day, no school Tuesday – A day Wednesday– Late Start B day Thursday– A day Friday– B day U.S. History=   Please work on completing the United States Map worksheet that was given out on class.  There will be a U.S. Map Quiz next week (Wednesday, 9/16 for odd periods & Thursday, 9/17 for even periods).  We will be checking out textbooks and jumping in to some early American history this week.  Be sure that you get a College Ruled Composition Book to have just for our class by next Monday (9/14).  A.P.
