March is here!

Here is what is happening in our classes with the start of a new month: 1st period (International Relations): just started a new unit on Hunger & Poverty (don't worry Disease is next!) ***Remember to get the book "What Every American Should Know About the Rest of the World" to bring to class by next Friday, March 9 th (the author is M.L. Rossi and it is available for purchase at Borders for about $15...let me know if you need help getting the book!) 2 nd & 5 th periods (World History): we are working on Chapter 11 you have vocabulary & an Alliance Worksheet due this Friday, March 2 nd 3rd & 4 th periods (U.S. History): the 20s & 30s test was on 2/28 & 3/1; you should have also turned in your unit homework packet as well. We will be starting our 1940s & WWII unit this coming week. ***Please remember to bring your signed informed consent forms back to class this Friday, March 2 nd !

I hope you enjoyed the week off. Here are a few photos of the places I visited over the break in Mexico, Honduras, & Belize. You might recognize a few that I described in class.

What to be working on over the break...

I hope that you all enjoy the break, but remember a few of you have some work to get done! 1st period (International Relations)= no homework 2nd & 5th periods (World History)= Read Chapter 10 (pages 320-343) and take notes (as shown in class)...you should have 1 page of notes(at least) for each section. There will be a quiz on this when we return & then we will be moving on to World War I. 3rd & 4th periods (U.S. History)= Be working on your 20s & 30s Homework Packet due 2/28 (3rd period) & 3/1 (4th period) HAVE A GREAT BREAK & BE THANKFUL THAT WE HAVE SOME AWESOME PRESIDENTS' BIRTHDAYS TO CELEBRATE!!!

For the week of 2/9-2/16

Well folks...we made it through the first week of the new semester. Do your best to stay on top of your school work! 1st period (IR) = your Asia Map (labeled & colored) is due Monday (2/9). 2nd & 5th periods (WH) = your Chapter 9.3 worksheet is due on Monday (5th period) or Tuesday (2nd period). Don't forget that the Chapter 9 Test is on Friday, 2/16. 3rd & 4th periods (US) = you should be working on your 20s& 30s Homework Packet. The 20s & 30s Quiz will be on Friday, 2/16.
