You have a  Chapter 7 & 8 Study Guide  to be working on (questions 1-16 pertain to Chapter 7...the due date will be after the break) The Jazz Age Journal Assignment will be checked in your comp book on Tuesday & Wednesday. The Jazz Age Journal handout was passed out on 12/14 & 12/17. Please bring your comp book to class Tuesday-Friday this week! If you don't have the log-in info you need to check your School Loop email from me on 11/19 or 11/20. If you haven't already...you should start reading Chapter 7!  There will be a Chapter 7 Quiz on 12/18 & 12/19! We will be moving through the 1920s rather quickly. The  Chapter 7 & 8 Study Guide  will be passed in class this week. This week's schedule: Monday- Late Start A Day Tuesday- B Day Wednesday- A Day Thursday- B Day Friday- A Day U.S. History= If you missed the Chapter 4 Quiz, your ONLY make-up opportunity will be this Wednesday, 11/28 at lunch in our classroom. Your Annotated   Bibliography , assigned nearly 2 weeks ago, is due to be uploaded to turnitin.com by 8am on 11/26 or 11/27.  Step by step directions were emailed to you prior to the Thanksgiving Break. Please bring your comp book to class EVERYDAY this week! By the end of the week we will go over how to do your Outline for the Research  paper. Expect to receive  a new Study Guide for Chapters 5 & 6 later this week as well. This week's Schedule: Monday– Late Start B  day Tuesday – A day Wednesday– B day Thursday– A day Friday–  B day U.S. History=   You will be receiving instruction in class this week about researching for your paper & finding 5 appropriate articles to use in writing your paper. You will have 1 week to collect your 5 articles, after the time that is given  in class to get started. Your 5 articles are due 11/13 & 11/14. Beyond that you will have one additional week to complete the annotated bibliography. The procedures for doing both will be explained in class. This week's Schedule: Monday– Late Start B  day Tuesday –  A day Wednesday–  B day Thursday–  No School for Students (Teacher in-service day) Friday–  A day U.S. History=   Please be reading Chapter 3 at home! What we cover in class is supplemental to the textbook reading.  Last week a mini-study guide for Chapter 3 (to be completed in your comp book) was passed out in class. Chapter 3 Study Guide is linked here. Beware, a Chapter 3 Quiz/Quest is coming...10/30 & 10/31! By the end of this week you should also have your Research Topic & Question finalized. This week's Schedule: Monday– Late Start A  day Tuesday – Assembly Schedule B day Wednesday– A day Thursday– B day Friday– A day U.S. History=   Your Research paper topic (not a single word or phrase, but a FOCUSED TOPIC) needs to be submitted via the Google form here: Research Paper Topic Form (due 10/22 & 10/23) You must login with your school id (example 654321@nmusd.us) Your Tribal Expert Group Task, started in class on Monday & Tuesday, is due this week on Wednesday & Thursday.  Here is the Tribal Expert Group assignment sheet for that task. It is to be completed on Google slides & shared with me. Groups will be drawn at random to share their presentation with the rest of the class starting on Wednesday & Thursday. Please be reading Chapter 3 at home! What we cover in class is supplemental to the textbook reading.  You will get your comp books back  later this week & be receiving a new study guide covering chapters 3 & 4 before the end of the week. This week's Schedule: Monday– Labor Day, no school Tuesday – A day Wednesday–  B day Thursday– A day Friday– B day U.S. History=   Before the end of the week you will receive a United States Map worksheet, please work on completing that.  There will be a U.S. Map Quiz next week (Wednesday, 9/12 for odd periods & Thursday, 9/13 for even periods). Here are a couple of links to online review to help you prepare for the Map Quiz: Use this link to work on matching  States & Capitals (based on a State's location...this will probably be most helpful for the quiz) .  Or you can use this link (it's penguins racing each other while matching states & capitals). We will be checking out textbooks and jumping in to some early American history this week.  Also, you will receive your class syllabus which should be shared with your parents and then once signed, kept in your binder to be checked. Be sure that you get a College Ruled Composition Book t
