This Friday marks the end of the 3rd quarter...how quickly it snuck up on us! Grades continue to be updated and I thank you for your patience!

US= You have homework due this week & there will be a Civil Rights Quiz at the end of the week also! The 44 Study Guide questions (are posted on School Loop) are due Thursday, 4/22 (for odd periods) and Friday, 4/23 (for even periods); that same day we will be taking the NMUSD District 3rd Quarter Benchmark exam. Please don't wait until the last minute to get started on this work. The Study Guide was designed to help you be prepared for the test!

IR/PacRim= You have a test on your Asia Map this Thursday, 4/22. In class we will continue where we left off last week looking at control of information and the impact of media on our global society.

Just for fun...do you know the answer to this riddle?

Hello 2009!  I hope that you all enjoyed the break! Well here we are just a few weeks away from the end of the semester...be sure to stay on top of your work before finals!   US= Your extra credit assignment is due Wednesday, 1/7 (for odd periods) & Thursday, 1/8 (for even periods)...the assignment is posted on School Loop. Be sure to bring your "Graphing Indicators of the Great Depression" worksheet back to class, as we continue to learn about the 1930s and the Great Depression we will be using that sheet to answer some questions. We will not have a test on Chapters 8 & 9 before the final, but there will be a quiz on each of the  chapters. You should be ready for a quiz on Chapter 8 as early as the end of this week! Isn't that quote so fitting for our weather right now? Well one more week before our Spring Break and here is what we have going on: US= We are working on Chapter 14 dealing with the Civil Rights Movement. Don't forget that you have workbook pages 117, 119, & 121 due this week (Thursday for 6th period & Friday for 1st, 3rd, & 5th periods). Also on that day you will take a Quest (longer than a quiz, but shorter than a test) on chapter 14 & the Civil Rights Movement. In terms of your project...I have made a concession, you may turn it in on the original due date given & receive 10 extra credit points (these points will go toward you project & are therefore worth more than "normal" extra credit points due to how the grades are weighted) or you may turn it in on Monday, April 14th before the end of lunch to receive full credit. This week's schedule: Monday– A day Tuesday– B day Wednesday– Late Start A day Thursday– B day Friday– A day  (extended lunch) U.S. History=   The " profile " for your Historical Civil Rights Figure is due to be uploaded on you class's www.edmodo.com page by 11pm on 3/22 (no matter what period you are in). This Civil Rights Historybook project will move quickly and be done by 3/31 & 4/1, so be sure to look at what you need to be accomplishing in the other parts of the project.  Please bring your composition book to class (if you didn't turn it in with your World War II work).
