This week's Schedule: Monday– Late Start A  day Tuesday – Assembly Schedule B day Wednesday– A day Thursday– B day Friday– A day U.S. History=   Your Research paper topic (not a single word or phrase, but a FOCUSED TOPIC) needs to be submitted via the Google form here: Research Paper Topic Form (due 10/22 & 10/23) You must login with your school id (example 654321@nmusd.us) Your Tribal Expert Group Task, started in class on Monday & Tuesday, is due this week on Wednesday & Thursday.  Here is the Tribal Expert Group assignment sheet for that task. This week's Schedule: Monday– Late Start B  day Tuesday – A day Wednesday– B day Thursday– A day Friday–  B day U.S. History=   You will be receiving instruction in class this week about researching for your paper & finding 5 appropriate articles to use in writing your paper. You will have 1 week to collect your 5 articles, after the time that is given  in class to get started. Your 5 articles are due 11/13 & 11/14. Beyond that you will have one additional week to complete the annotated bibliography. The procedures for doing both will be explained in class. Here is a link to an info sheet about the online databases available via the Newport Beach Public Library. We will be moving forward with topics related to the next Chapter including the Progressives, Child Labor, Expanding Rights for Women & Minority Groups, & Reformers in the White House. This Week's Schedule: Monday– Late Start A  day Tuesday –   B day  Wednesday– A day Thursday– B day (Back to School Night) Friday– Minimum A day U.S. History=   The Chapter 1 Test is on Monday, 9/23 (odd periods) & Tuesday, 9/24 (even periods)...your comp book with completed timeline & study guide are due on your test day.  Look at last week's post for more review items. Comp books will be returned as soon as possible, but it will probably be the end of this week or even early next week. By early next week you will receive your next Study Guide and Civil War Map they should be completed in your comp book & are due on your test day...(10/11 & 10/14).  You can start reading pages 46-89 at home because you are accountable for what is in the textbook in addition to what we cover in class (they parallel each other).
