US= You have a Study Guide to be working on! Your NMUSD 2nd Quarter District Study Guide is due 1/26 (for odd periods) and 1/27 (for even periods). We will be taking that test n the same day...it is part 1 of your two part final. The second part of your final will be during finals week. We will be wrapping up the 1930s & the New Deal this week and then starting our in class review for the final. Make sure you are taking the time to do the Study Guide at home! Here is a link to find a copy of the study guide on-line.

Sociology= We have started our final unit!!! The plan is to have a study guide for the final passed out in class this Friday. Be sure to read pages 363-369 and answer questions 1-3 on page 369...it's due on Friday, 1/21! New HOMEWORK due on Tuesday, 1/25...read pages 409-413 and answer questions 1-4 on page 413.

Hello 2009!  I hope that you all enjoyed the break! Well here we are just a few weeks away from the end of the semester...be sure to stay on top of your work before finals!   US= Your extra credit assignment is due Wednesday, 1/7 (for odd periods) & Thursday, 1/8 (for even periods)...the assignment is posted on School Loop. Be sure to bring your "Graphing Indicators of the Great Depression" worksheet back to class, as we continue to learn about the 1930s and the Great Depression we will be using that sheet to answer some questions. We will not have a test on Chapters 8 & 9 before the final, but there will be a quiz on each of the  chapters. You should be ready for a quiz on Chapter 8 as early as the end of this week! Isn't that quote so fitting for our weather right now? Well one more week before our Spring Break and here is what we have going on: US= We are working on Chapter 14 dealing with the Civil Rights Movement. Don't forget that you have workbook pages 117, 119, & 121 due this week (Thursday for 6th period & Friday for 1st, 3rd, & 5th periods). Also on that day you will take a Quest (longer than a quiz, but shorter than a test) on chapter 14 & the Civil Rights Movement. In terms of your project...I have made a concession, you may turn it in on the original due date given & receive 10 extra credit points (these points will go toward you project & are therefore worth more than "normal" extra credit points due to how the grades are weighted) or you may turn it in on Monday, April 14th before the end of lunch to receive full credit. This week's schedule: Monday– A day Tuesday– B day Wednesday– Late Start A day Thursday– B day Friday– A day  (extended lunch) U.S. History=   The " profile " for your Historical Civil Rights Figure is due to be uploaded on you class's www.edmodo.com page by 11pm on 3/22 (no matter what period you are in). This Civil Rights Historybook project will move quickly and be done by 3/31 & 4/1, so be sure to look at what you need to be accomplishing in the other parts of the project.  Please bring your composition book to class (if you didn't turn it in with your World War II work).
