U.S. History= 
  • Be sure that you are reading Chapter 13 from the textbook to supplement what we are covering in class. By the end of this week you should be going back to read Chapter 12 (as we are moving through these two chapters out of order from the textbook).
    • You will receive a new Study Guide in class this week.
  • If you missed the World War II test before the break, you must make it up this week.
  • You will be given instructions on how to complete a 1950s Websearch in class at the start of this week (check your School Loop email for a link to the google doc & how to access it)...the completed Websearch is due on 3/9 & 3/10.
  • Your salmon colored registration form (neatly completed with signatures in ink) is due on 3/15 & 3/16. You will be seeing your counselor that day if your form is complete to register for next year's classes.
  • Next week your 3rd Quarter Project will be introduced.


    • AP Euro= 
  • There will be an in-class writing assignment on Tuesday, 2/28 in connection to our studies on chapter 26 & 27.
  • Comp books & Test Scores will be passed back in class on Tuesday.
  • You will receive new handouts on Chapter 28. 
    • Expect a Chapter 28 Reading Quiz on Monday, 3/6! 
  • The Chapter 28 & 29 study guides are due on Monday, 3/20.
  • Your green colored registration form (neatly completed with signatures in ink) is due on 3/28. You will be seeing your counselor that day if your form is complete to register for next year's classes.

Hello 2009!  I hope that you all enjoyed the break! Well here we are just a few weeks away from the end of the semester...be sure to stay on top of your work before finals!   US= Your extra credit assignment is due Wednesday, 1/7 (for odd periods) & Thursday, 1/8 (for even periods)...the assignment is posted on School Loop. Be sure to bring your "Graphing Indicators of the Great Depression" worksheet back to class, as we continue to learn about the 1930s and the Great Depression we will be using that sheet to answer some questions. We will not have a test on Chapters 8 & 9 before the final, but there will be a quiz on each of the  chapters. You should be ready for a quiz on Chapter 8 as early as the end of this week! Your homework is to do Cornell Notes for both chapters 8 & 9 and to complete workbook pages 68, 70, 72, 74, 76, 78, & 80...this is due Thursday, 1/22 (for odd periods) and Friday, 1/23 (for even periods). Isn't that quote so fitting for our weather right now? Well one more week before our Spring Break and here is what we have going on: US= We are working on Chapter 14 dealing with the Civil Rights Movement. Don't forget that you have workbook pages 117, 119, & 121 due this week (Thursday for 6th period & Friday for 1st, 3rd, & 5th periods). Also on that day you will take a Quest (longer than a quiz, but shorter than a test) on chapter 14 & the Civil Rights Movement. In terms of your project...I have made a concession, you may turn it in on the original due date given & receive 10 extra credit points (these points will go toward you project & are therefore worth more than "normal" extra credit points due to how the grades are weighted) or you may turn it in on Monday, April 14th before the end of lunch to receive full credit. Well, we're back from the break. I hope you all enjoyed the time off! We've got a lot coming up, so please stay on top of your assignments & don't put things off to the last minute this semester! I am sorry that the extra credit opportunity at the Public Library last Saturday was canceled, but be on the lookout for another extra credit opportunity at the beginning of March. US= You have a Chapter 10 Quiz on Wed., 2/24 (for odd periods) and Thurs., 2/25 (for even periods). Don't forget that your World War II Homework Packets are due next week...Thurs. 3/4 (for odd periods) and Fri., 3/5 (for even periods). This week we will be continuing our studies about the US involvement with World War II. IR/ PacRim = We will be spending some time this week looking at the United Nations and the role it has played in global affairs. There is a lot to learn & discuss when it comes to this topic. It also give us at least another week of a "non-depressing" topic ...
