U.S. History= 
  • Please bring your signed forms (Syllabus & Academic Honesty Policy) and your 100-page composition book to class (on Monday, 9/11 for odd periods and Tuesday, 9/12 for even periods). 
  • Everyone needs to bring their composition book to class on Wednesday & Thursday this week...if you don't have one, see me ASAP!
  • There will be a U.S. Map Quiz/Test on Thursday, 9/14 for even periods & Friday, 9/15 for odd periods; check your school loop email for helpful links sent last week. 
  • Also, this week you will receive a Chapter 1 Study Guide (and those of you who did not get a textbook will be getting those this week too).
A.P. Euro= 
  • You have a reading quiz on Monday, 9/11 (based on the reading that has been assigned...please keep up with the reading schedule).  
  • Please bring your 100-page Composition book to class on Monday. 
  • Last week you received a Chapter 12 Study Guide...that is due on Tuesday, 9/19. 
  • There will be a Quest (longer than a quiz, but shorter than a test) covering The Prince & Candide on Friday, 9/15. 
    • Additionally your essays on the two books are due to be turned in via www.turnitin.com by 11:59pm on Friday, 9/15. 
    • You do not need to bring a hard copy to class, just upload them to the site. The course number & password are listed on your reading schedule.

Hello 2009!  I hope that you all enjoyed the break! Well here we are just a few weeks away from the end of the semester...be sure to stay on top of your work before finals!   US= Your extra credit assignment is due Wednesday, 1/7 (for odd periods) & Thursday, 1/8 (for even periods)...the assignment is posted on School Loop. Be sure to bring your "Graphing Indicators of the Great Depression" worksheet back to class, as we continue to learn about the 1930s and the Great Depression we will be using that sheet to answer some questions. We will not have a test on Chapters 8 & 9 before the final, but there will be a quiz on each of the  chapters. You should be ready for a quiz on Chapter 8 as early as the end of this week! Isn't that quote so fitting for our weather right now? Well one more week before our Spring Break and here is what we have going on: US= We are working on Chapter 14 dealing with the Civil Rights Movement. Don't forget that you have workbook pages 117, 119, & 121 due this week (Thursday for 6th period & Friday for 1st, 3rd, & 5th periods). Also on that day you will take a Quest (longer than a quiz, but shorter than a test) on chapter 14 & the Civil Rights Movement. In terms of your project...I have made a concession, you may turn it in on the original due date given & receive 10 extra credit points (these points will go toward you project & are therefore worth more than "normal" extra credit points due to how the grades are weighted) or you may turn it in on Monday, April 14th before the end of lunch to receive full credit. This Civil Rights Historybook project will move quickly and be done by 3/31 & 4/1, so be sure to look at what you need to be accomplishing in the other parts of the project.  Please bring your composition book to class (if you didn't turn it in with your World War II work).
