We are 25% through the school year already! Quarter grades will be completed and posted on-line by this Wednesday for all classes.

US= We are starting a new unit this week. Be expecting a new Homework Packet assignment on Tuesday & Wednesday (due Wednesday, 11/28 for 1st, 2rd, and 5th periods & Thursday 11/29 for 6th period). Remember that you only have 2 projects per semester; many of you have completed your first project (the Biography Powerpoint presentation in class & some of you have blown it off...that is 12.5% of your grade...you need to see me if you have missed your presentation date already) and some of you have upcoming due dates, stay on top of your work! Your 2nd project is a Native American Tribal Cube due on Monday 11/26 (for 1st, 3rd, & 5th periods) and Tuesday, November 27th (for 6th period).

PacRim/IR= Your Poem Project on Women is due Monday, November 5th! This week we will be continuing our work in the Human Rights Unit as well as working on our Philanthropist Project in class. Don't forget that your map test on the Northern(ish) Half of Africa is this coming Friday, November 9th! STUDY FOR IT!

Hello 2009!  I hope that you all enjoyed the break! Well here we are just a few weeks away from the end of the semester...be sure to stay on top of your work before finals!   US= Your extra credit assignment is due Wednesday, 1/7 (for odd periods) & Thursday, 1/8 (for even periods)...the assignment is posted on School Loop. Be sure to bring your "Graphing Indicators of the Great Depression" worksheet back to class, as we continue to learn about the 1930s and the Great Depression we will be using that sheet to answer some questions. We will not have a test on Chapters 8 & 9 before the final, but there will be a quiz on each of the  chapters. You should be ready for a quiz on Chapter 8 as early as the end of this week! Your homework is to do Cornell Notes for both chapters 8 & 9 and to complete workbook pages 68, 70, 72, 74, 76, 78, & 80...this is due Thursday, 1/22 (for odd periods) and Friday, 1/23 (for even periods). Isn't that quote so fitting for our weather right now? Well one more week before our Spring Break and here is what we have going on: US= We are working on Chapter 14 dealing with the Civil Rights Movement. Don't forget that you have workbook pages 117, 119, & 121 due this week (Thursday for 6th period & Friday for 1st, 3rd, & 5th periods). Also on that day you will take a Quest (longer than a quiz, but shorter than a test) on chapter 14 & the Civil Rights Movement. In terms of your project...I have made a concession, you may turn it in on the original due date given & receive 10 extra credit points (these points will go toward you project & are therefore worth more than "normal" extra credit points due to how the grades are weighted) or you may turn it in on Monday, April 14th before the end of lunch to receive full credit. This week's schedule: Monday– A day Tuesday– B day Wednesday– Late Start A day Thursday– B day Friday– A day  (extended lunch) U.S. History=   The " profile " for your Historical Civil Rights Figure is due to be uploaded on you class's www.edmodo.com page by 11pm on 3/22 (no matter what period you are in). This Civil Rights Historybook project will move quickly and be done by 3/31 & 4/1, so be sure to look at what you need to be accomplishing in the other parts of the project.  Please bring your composition book to class (if you didn't turn it in with your World War II work).
