U.S. History=
  • The 4th Quarter "Most Influential American” project presentations will take place in class this week on Monday through Thursday.
    • Remember you must be present in class to earn the presentation & participation points!
    • Here is a link to the actual assignment &amp.
  • Please be reading Chapter 19 in your textbook at home. 
  • Your final study guide was passed out on 5/15 & 5/16.
    • Here is a link to that study guide covering Chapters 17, 18, & 19.
    • The actual due date for this study guide is June 13th for A day classes & June 14th for B day classes.
  • This week in class you will received a 2nd Semester Study Guide (green half sheet) to help refresh your memory of what will be covered on the Final Exam (only the material we have covered in the 2nd Semester).

AP Euro=
  • Last week your final project was introduced.
  • In class, on Tuesday topics for the Historical Travel Campaign Project will be selected.
    • The final due date for the project in June 14th!
    • There will be time carved out each period for you to be working with your group on this task.

Hello 2009!  I hope that you all enjoyed the break! Well here we are just a few weeks away from the end of the semester...be sure to stay on top of your work before finals!   US= Your extra credit assignment is due Wednesday, 1/7 (for odd periods) & Thursday, 1/8 (for even periods)...the assignment is posted on School Loop. Be sure to bring your "Graphing Indicators of the Great Depression" worksheet back to class, as we continue to learn about the 1930s and the Great Depression we will be using that sheet to answer some questions. We will not have a test on Chapters 8 & 9 before the final, but there will be a quiz on each of the  chapters. You should be ready for a quiz on Chapter 8 as early as the end of this week! Your homework is to do Cornell Notes for both chapters 8 & 9 and to complete workbook pages 68, 70, 72, 74, 76, 78, & 80...this is due Thursday, 1/22 (for odd periods) and Friday, 1/23 (for even periods). Isn't that quote so fitting for our weather right now? Well one more week before our Spring Break and here is what we have going on: US= We are working on Chapter 14 dealing with the Civil Rights Movement. Don't forget that you have workbook pages 117, 119, & 121 due this week (Thursday for 6th period & Friday for 1st, 3rd, & 5th periods). Also on that day you will take a Quest (longer than a quiz, but shorter than a test) on chapter 14 & the Civil Rights Movement. In terms of your project...I have made a concession, you may turn it in on the original due date given & receive 10 extra credit points (these points will go toward you project & are therefore worth more than "normal" extra credit points due to how the grades are weighted) or you may turn it in on Monday, April 14th before the end of lunch to receive full credit. This Civil Rights Historybook project will move quickly and be done by 3/31 & 4/1, so be sure to look at what you need to be accomplishing in the other parts of the project.  Please bring your composition book to class (if you didn't turn it in with your World War II work). You'll need it in class on Monday & Tuesday. You will have two reading excerpts (with 3 questions each) handed out in class on Monday & Tuesday to also complete in your composition book.
