This Week's Schedule:
Monday– 1st & 5th period Finals
Tuesday– 2nd & 6th period Finals
Wednesday–  3rd & 7th Finals
Thursday– 4th & 8th period Finals
Friday–  No School for students (Winter Formal in the evening at Knott's Berry Farm)
***The first Final of the day is 8:00-10:00 , then there is a 15 minute break and the second Final of the day is 10:20-12:20.


U.S. History= 
  • The 1st Semester Final covers Chapters 1-11 and will be comprised of multiple choice & matching questions.
  • Your comp book is due the day of your final! A tab (RUSH Comp Book List) at the top of this website has a list of all the items that should be in your comp book. 
    • Please check last week's post for links to the study guides.
    • Many Kahoot review links were send via Remind at the end of last week to provide you with an additional study tool.
  • Final grades for the 1st Semester will be posted by 2:00 pm on Saturday, 2/1.
A.P. Euro= 
  • Part 2 of your Final is on Wednesday, 1/29 from 8:00-10:00am.
    • 55 multiple choice questions
    • 3 SAQs
    • all modeled after an actual AP exam, except we are only including the material we have covered so far.
  • Please bring your comp book to class that day so they can finish being graded.
  • Several Kahoot links were sent via Remind last week as an additional study tool.
  • Final grades for the 1st Semester will be posted by 2:00 pm on Saturday, 2/1.

This Civil Rights Historybook project will move quickly and be done by 3/31 & 4/1, so be sure to look at what you need to be accomplishing in the other parts of the project.  Please bring your composition book to class (if you didn't turn it in with your World War II work). You'll need it in class on Monday & Tuesday. You will have two reading excerpts (with 3 questions each) handed out in class on Monday & Tuesday to also complete in your composition book. Hello 2009!  I hope that you all enjoyed the break! Well here we are just a few weeks away from the end of the semester...be sure to stay on top of your work before finals!   US= Your extra credit assignment is due Wednesday, 1/7 (for odd periods) & Thursday, 1/8 (for even periods)...the assignment is posted on School Loop. Be sure to bring your "Graphing Indicators of the Great Depression" worksheet back to class, as we continue to learn about the 1930s and the Great Depression we will be using that sheet to answer some questions. We will not have a test on Chapters 8 & 9 before the final, but there will be a quiz on each of the  chapters. You should be ready for a quiz on Chapter 8 as early as the end of this week! Your homework is to do Cornell Notes for both chapters 8 & 9 and to complete workbook pages 68, 70, 72, 74, 76, 78, & 80...this is due Thursday, 1/22 (for odd periods) and Friday, 1/23 (for even periods). Isn't that quote so fitting for our weather right now? Well one more week before our Spring Break and here is what we have going on: US= We are working on Chapter 14 dealing with the Civil Rights Movement. Don't forget that you have workbook pages 117, 119, & 121 due this week (Thursday for 6th period & Friday for 1st, 3rd, & 5th periods). Also on that day you will take a Quest (longer than a quiz, but shorter than a test) on chapter 14 & the Civil Rights Movement. In terms of your project...I have made a concession, you may turn it in on the original due date given & receive 10 extra credit points (these points will go toward you project & are therefore worth more than "normal" extra credit points due to how the grades are weighted) or you may turn it in on Monday, April 14th before the end of lunch to receive full credit.
