Hello...here we are half way through the month of October! Grades are now accessible on-line (click on that link to the left...your password/code came on your progress report).

US= A new Homework Packet was distributed this week (for Chapter 3...it is due on 10/30 & 10/31...notice it is a bit shorter)! We are getting started on Chapter 3 on Thursday & Friday (plan on getting your Chapter 2 test back that same day and Chapter 2 homework packets will be passed back next week).

PacRim/IR= We are still working on our Human Rights Unit...we have covered the basic different types of rights & will be focusing on case studies on minority rights on Wednesday. REMEMBER....you have your southern half of Africa map quiz this Friday...be sure to study (they are not all lakes...some of them are countries) !!!

US= Story boards are due MONDAY (this was an extended deadline)! Your workbook pages (listed in the previous post) are due Tuesday, 5/27 (for 1st, 3rd, & 5th periods) and Wednesday, 5/28 (for 6th period)...you will also have a test that day on Chapters 17 & 18. PacRim/IR= Your questions sheet on HIV/AIDS is due Monday. We will have a Quest on Disease this week...plan on having it Wednesday. This Friday the agencies you voted to give grants to are back for the presentation of those grants; we will talk more about that in class this week.

This week's Schedule: Monday– Late Start  A day Tuesday – B day Wednesday– A day Thursday– B day Friday–  Rally A day U.S. History=   Please bring your signed forms (Syllabus & Academic Honesty Policy) and your 100-page composition book to class (on Monday, 9/12 for odd periods and Tuesday, 9/13 for even periods).  Everyone needs to bring their composition book to class on Wednesday & Thursday this week...if you don't have one, see me ASAP! This week's Schedule: Monday– Labor Day, no school Tuesday – A day Wednesday– Late Start B day Thursday– A day Friday– B day U.S. History=   Please work on completing the United States Map worksheet that was given out on class.  There will be a U.S. Map Quiz next week (Wednesday, 9/16 for odd periods & Thursday, 9/17 for even periods).  We will be checking out textbooks and jumping in to some early American history this week.  Be sure that you get a College Ruled Composition Book to have just for our class by next Monday (9/14).  A.P.
