Happy New Year! I'm sure that there were a few New Year's resolutions made...anyone resolve to not procrastinate? Well I hope that you all enjoyed your break. Before you know it the end of the semester will be here, so be sure to stay on top of your work!
US= Your second project of the semester is due next week (Monday, 1/11 for odd periods & Tuesday, 1/12 for even periods...I will have a list of Alphabet Soup Agencies on the board in class). We will be finishing up this semester by completing Chapters 8 & 9...be sure to be reading. There will be weekly quizzes this time around! I will explain the new homework later in the week.

IR/PacRim= This is a busy week for us! There will be a new map given out on Tuesday...it is due on Thursday, 1/7. We will also be starting our next unit on Disease as well as getting your final project assignment for the semester. We will spend some time in class next week to help us all be a bit more prepared for finals & what to expect.

This week's Schedule: Monday– Labor Day, no school Tuesday – A day Wednesday– Late Start B day Thursday– A day Friday– B day U.S. History=   Please work on completing the United States Map worksheet that was given out on class.  There will be a U.S. Map Quiz next week (Wednesday, 9/16 for odd periods & Thursday, 9/17 for even periods).  We will be checking out textbooks and jumping in to some early American history this week.  Be sure that you get a College Ruled Composition Book to have just for our class by next Monday (9/14).  A.P. This week's Schedule: Monday– Late Start A  day Tuesday – Assembly Schedule B day Wednesday– A day Thursday– B day Friday– A day U.S. History=   Your Research paper topic (not a single word or phrase, but a FOCUSED TOPIC) needs to be submitted via the Google form here: Research Paper Topic Form (due 10/22 & 10/23) You must login with your school id (example 654321@nmusd.us) Your Tribal Expert Group Task, started in class on Monday & Tuesday, is due this week on Wednesday & Thursday.  Here is the Tribal Expert Group assignment sheet for that task. It is to be completed on Google slides & shared with me. Groups will be drawn at random to share their presentation with the rest of the class starting on Wednesday & Thursday.
