We seem to have turned around and all of the sudden December is here! Grades will be updated this coming weekend.

US= Many of you missed last week's Quest on Chapters 4 & 5; it is your responsibility to make that up ASAP. Two people did that this afternoon; you're next chance is tomorrow between 1:30 & 4:30pm. This must be done this week!
We are on to a new topic...The Great War a.k.a. The War to End All Wars! New homework will be given out in class on Monday & Tuesday (here is a link to where it is also posted on-line). Be sure to get going on that...it is due next week (Tuesday, 12/7 for odd periods & Wednesday, 12/8 for even periods). We will be completing chapters 6 & 7 before the break, so come prepared to be on task in class!
***3rd period...be sure to be setting aside money for Adopt-a-Family. We should have our family by the end of this week!

Sociology= Your extra credit is due Tuesday, 11/30 if you chose to do it. We will be continuing with our studies in Unit 3 covering Social Inequalities this week.

This week's Schedule: Monday– Late Start B  day Tuesday – A day Wednesday– B day Thursday– A day Friday–  B day U.S. History=   You will be receiving instruction in class this week about researching for your paper & finding 5 appropriate articles to use in writing your paper. You will have 1 week to collect your 5 articles, after the time that is given  in class to get started. Your 5 articles are due 11/13 & 11/14. Beyond that you will have one additional week to complete the annotated bibliography. The procedures for doing both will be explained in class. This Week's Schedule: Monday– Late Start A  day Tuesday –   B day  Wednesday– A day Thursday– B day (Back to School Night) Friday– Minimum A day U.S. History=   The Chapter 1 Test is on Monday, 9/23 (odd periods) & Tuesday, 9/24 (even periods)...your comp book with completed timeline & study guide are due on your test day.  Look at last week's post for more review items. Comp books will be returned as soon as possible, but it will probably be the end of this week or even early next week. By early next week you will receive your next Study Guide and Civil War Map they should be completed in your comp book & are due on your test day...(10/11 & 10/14).  You can start reading pages 46-89 at home because you are accountable for what is in the textbook in addition to what we cover in class (they parallel each other). This week's Schedule: Monday–  Late Start  A day Tuesday – B day Wednesday–   A day Thursday– Rally Schedule B day Friday– A day U.S. History=   2nd & 3rd periods: Please bring your composition book to class with you on Monday, 1/8 & Tuesday, 1/9.  Due on Wednesday, 1/10 & Thursday, 1/11 is the Chapter 7 & 8 Study Guide (that was given out the week of 12/11/17, here is a  link  to a digital copy; there are two pages). That too should be completed in your comp book & be prepared for a small test that day on those 2 chapters. Your New Deal Program PSA Group Project (turned in on a flash drive with your separate written reflection) is due 1/17 (for A Day classes) & 1/18 (for B Day classes) You will be given some time to work with your groups in class to "check in" & make sure everything is on track this week.
